Tuesday 20th of Dec: EXCITING DAY! I woke up early to pack rest of my stuff and make all the Christmas gifts ready. I was so excited that I will finally see my short-term host family today after year and a half! I was waiting with my host-mom and then recognized their car - went to hug all of them! It was absolutely amazing to see them after such a long time! We drove to Margate and I told everything what has happened during these 5 months. When we arrived to Margate we had some lunch and then walked to the beach :)

Wed 21st of Dec: After breakfast we went walk to the Trafalgar Beach. Weather was perfect and it was awesome to walk on the ocean.

We came back and then we left to The Waffle House♥ There were so many people and line was really long. Finally they let us in and we could order. I had same thing than last time - Banoffee Waffle and fresh banana milkshake. It was absolutely amazing♥ After that drove around Margate looking nice houses. I would love to live here. In the evening we went to the Christmas market - I didn't find anything though. ps. 3 nights until x-mas eve!!
Thurs 22nd of Dec: We had nice breakfast again and after that we went to the Southbroom Beach (which is my host-family's favourite one). Weather was perfect for spending hours there :) We were tanning, swimming, laying under umbrellas, eating ice-cream, having roll for lunch and taking photos.

Weather suddenly changed and many people left. Zulu-dancers came to dance near to us and I gave them about R3. :D After incredible beach day we came back home and just chilled & relaxed watching Soul Surfer. Aww that movie is so amazing and inspirational!
Fri 23rd of Dec: Weather wasn't good when we woke up so today was time for shopping and relaxing. I bought stunning Rip Curl-bikinis which unfortunately were quite expensive. We had Italian ice-cream (yammy) and later we went to Italian restaurant.
Sat 24th of Dec♥: I couldn't believe that it was finally Christmas eve when I woke up. First x-mas without my family and cold weather. I was quite miserable because it didn't feel like Christmas at all and hadn't any spirit. We took some nice pictures with family and I helped Sune setting the table with sea theme. We watched Soul Surfer-movie again :) I had opportunity to skyping with my family and it was amazing to speak with everybody. We ate Christmas dinner - sea food. After that we all went to living room to watch some step dancing-dvd. I opened presents from my family and gave mine to Roodt's family.

Sunday 25th of Dec: When I woke up everybody wished 'Merry Christmas' because in S.A. people celebrate x-mas today.

| We all dressed up fancy before leaving to church. Service at church was Afrikaans so I couldn't understand almost anything :D After church we took photos and then I helped Sune to set the table. Sune's dad bought strawberry cocktails for me, her and Odelia. |

| Then was time for Christmas dinner which was quite different from traditional Finnish one.

Monday 26th of Dec: After breakfast we decided to go to the Southbroom Beach again. There wasn't many people and beach was almost empty - probably because it was so windy. After a while we all got enough and wanted to leave haha.. I tried to sleep but I couldn't coz it was too hot.
Tuesday 27th of Dec: We had to wake up about 6.30am because it was our last day in Margate and
we wanted to go to beach before it would get too windy. We went for a walk to Trafalgar Beach and I
finally got photo on the beach with 'Merry x-mas ♥ ' written on the sand. Sun came out so we went to swim and tanned on the
beach. After this we went to the Waffle
House. |

Wednesday 28th of Dec: We had to wake up early because today was time to leave Margate behind and drive to Vereeniging. We packed all our stuff and said goodbye to Sune's grandparents. It took about 6 hours to drive to Vereeniging and it was kind of amazing to see their home again after year and a half. |

goodbye to my short-term host family and I flew back to Durban!

| I changed my host-family again because my host-brother Marc (who went to Sweden for exchange) came back. So I'm staying with my best friend Casey at the moment. I went to the beach with my 'host-sister' Amy which was sooo nice :) We went swimming in the ocean and waves were incredible! |
